The Requirement Comes First
Leicester Steel Fabricators helps business buyers scope steel fabrication for commercial and industrial applications. We focus on the information needed to turn a project idea into work that can be specified, priced and checked.
Our service pages cover general steelwork, structural steel, sheet metal, metal assemblies and bespoke fabrication. We welcome enquiries from contractors, facilities teams, manufacturers, commercial landlords and education sites.
A Practical Approach To The Detail
We begin with what the component must do. Drawings, site photographs, quantities and a description of the operating environment help identify the outstanding decisions before a quotation is developed.
A useful scope identifies who provides design, who approves the drawings, what finish is required and whether installation is included. It also states what records and checks are needed before the completed steelwork is accepted.
Standards Matched To The Work
Structural construction components can require conformity assessment under BS EN 1090-1, with technical execution requirements under BS EN 1090-2. The project specification and the designer establish the applicable requirements, including the execution class.
COSHH requires control of exposure to the fume produced during welding. Construction site work also needs coordination under CDM 2015 where applicable. Before appointment, confirm the proposed firm’s relevant capability, documents and responsibilities against the actual work package.
What To Expect From Your Enquiry
We ask for enough information to understand the job and the decisions still to be made. If your enquiry needs a suitable local firm, we ask for your agreement before passing on the details.
Any quotation, programme, delivery or installation arrangement must be confirmed for your project. The enquiry form is the starting point for that discussion.
